Not my first go around. Been here 41 years. Can't say too much but just know we are considering bridging the IAM headcount for the rate increases 4Q of 25, actually going to need to hire more to backfill all the senior guys leaving and the strikers that didn't return.

To the person that says iam will not be affected, lol. This must be your first go around. Look around you. How many planes going out the door? 52? Not going to happen for quite awhile. Come post again next yr and see if you still think that.
Retaining all IAM. Sorry, just facts. They are cutting pencil pushers and aligning for the mass exodus of the older members.
Finally, someone gets the machinist thing right. So many uneducated peons around here. If you're not a grade 9 or above, you are not a machinist, all below, they are unskilled labor or button pushers.
Yip there is no machinist at Boeing, or very little. Boeing parts & engines & electrical systems & whatsoever are outsourced (not like the old old Boeing of Seattle)
What they do at the plants are asembling of the parts together
The majority of so-called 'machinists' are actually assemblers, material/part handlers, sealers, painters, some fabricators, and most of all are floaters
The union deserves all that it has coming, no sympathy for the lazy slobs that call themselves machinists.
Just a little compared to the rest.
