Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Europe is lost

Ford leadership is going to keep cutting to save their bonuses until there is no one left but JF, DF and JL. We left South America, China and now Europe is lost. “On Wednesday, the automotive giant announced that 4,000 jobs would be slashed across the U.K. and Europe by 2027 amid pressure to reach the European Union's goal of zero emissions by 2035. The loss equates to a 14% cut to the company's workforce in Europe, which, according to the Associated Press, currently stands at about 28,000 employees.” I need five more years to retire so I have to stay, if you are under 40, I recommend finding a new job before you are too old to be hired. Good Luck

No one actually hopes for bankruptcy. if you do you are just being spiteful. Although top leadership saw multiple trains coming and seemingly stared at the light while it was getting closer....it would still not be desirable. Don't cut off the nose to spite the face.

GM ditched their Euro ops. May not have been the greatest idea, but... the scary thing is that globally, VW and Hyundai are head of Ford. Toyota we already knew. Little VW with their Dashers, Beetles, and Sciroccos slingshotted ahead, as Detroit thinks they are the best. Little Hyundai... wow.

You are right, Ford's market share in Europe is down to 3%. Just a matter of time before it is 0%.
