Aldershot is sold and we move to a shoebox in Farnborough in March!

In the UK, Aldershot is more or less closed (almost always empty), 1 ADSQ in London is rarely used and cannot host the thousands of employees, and the Newcastle Innovation Centre is seldom used (if ever)…

The only way we'll do RTO, is to go on client sites. But even before covid, DXC didn't like us travelling when it incurred any cost or paperwork. Even when the client way paying the expenses or had agreed a higher rate. Management questioned it, finance endlessly rejected it. Go on threaten us all with a 0% pay rise if we don't, like we're not use to that already.

If you haven't heard a good rumor by lunchtime, you may as well make one up!

ESG.....let's face it, it is just marketing BS..there is nothing environmentaly friendly with computing..or humans..

Forcing people to an office, causing a bigger environmental footprint will harm the ESG score of DXC long term and, therefore, its stock value. I strongly doubt this mandate will be met with open arms by the majority shareholders.

It was very mixed messages Raul seemed to just say how great meeting in person is - duh! Everyone but HR have been saying that for years. Then other chap on video said 3 days a week. Not sure how that's possible, at least in Europe, as there are no offices.

Return to which office exactly? They have sold it off!

RTO is just a way to make you leave. Who the heck would work for DXC on 0% rises, and have to go into an office every day. Those days are long gone. It's basiclally the only perk of DXC left. Most other tech companies which are doing an RTO are doing for exactly the reason they know a lot of people aren't interested in going on site to do this sh-t, so they will just quit. The company doesn't need you - it wants you to quit. I know sure sure a bunch of mistakes will be made, the wrong people will leave, and the companys abiility to deliver will continue to be diminished.

He didn't say it was forced. Though I agree it's a subtle slide-in and a lubed finger-in to test the waters..

I though I do think he he's hoping managers will just intrpret the comment as that as he meant it and if it's bad he can back it off and say he didn't mean it or that it's up to individual leaders what they wanna do...I knew when the comments were disabled..I believe it was a testing of the water and to not create strong waves.

If nobody else talks about it, don't go out of your way to talk about it (outside of here) because that's just going to cause the question itself to stay in the forefront.

Don't go out of your way to be asking about this, because official questions will create official answers and that need for an official answer may result in the answer being clarity on whether that was a suggestion or not --and the clarity will be what the rule will be since we asked to specify ourselves.

After the call ended, the room was silent and we all suddenly just went back to work as normal.

That means it's so d-mb that we don't even want to bi--h about it.

So.

I'm going to act like I didn't hear that, like my coworkers did and assume it to be a lighthearted suggestion based from loving intent similar to wishing for world peace, smile warmly, nod my head and act like I didn't hear that s.

And I believe you should too.

There have been suggestions before and we proceeded to support the company as normal.

If your manager doesn't say anything - and doesn't present you with a plan in place to go back to office, BE QUIET.

He did not say this, no forced mandate mentioned at all. Honestly let's not start making things up...
