Effects of the years of decline, bad policies and stubbornly incompetent leadership cannot be reversed overnight. If they ever will. Nike is now a run-of-the-mill troubled company. For as long as that’s the case, I can go work at any other place. There might be companies where pastures are actually greener, or at least I can change the scenery.

Leaving was one of the greatest decisions. Interestingly friends and family have since come up to me and said they held their tongues a lot while I worked there because they thought I was so happy. The way Nike forced us into behaviors that aren’t equitable for all and those that don’t follow the DEI ridiculousness felt dirty. Our intentions don’t matter if it offends a mentally ill person we could be fired …
This sounds like a trick by the HR department to reduce headcount without paying severance. The job market is not healthy right now.
Quit acting like you’re gods gift to any company, try and get hired and then come back and let us know.
