Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

Layoffs coming at west lake and simi valley?

With the closure of the simi valley office this coming summer, it looks like layoffs are soon on the cards so they can fit all the people at west lake. Some people don’t want to do the drive to west lake either and you know the bank doesn’t like permanent wfh anymore. I have noticed that some managers with simi/westlake members have started to train people in other states to do certain tasks which makes me think the managers are already in the know of who is on the chopping block. If you are in simi and westlake and see someone being trained in something you do right now then start to get worried. So the question is when will they begin laying off people at simi valley and west lake?

Woodland Hills is not in the cards for any associates, ops and tech. They are only looking at Westlake and Glendale.

I did hear ops is being absorbed in other locations across the US similar to what they did with short sales a few years back.

There are still a large number of employees who were based out of Brea, before the site closed a few years back, who now work from home full time. Chances are they would be let go before employees willing to work in the office.

Also people in Simi will be moved to multiple sites, such as Woodland Hills, not just Westlake. I wouldn't worry about it too much with the possible exception of low performers.
