a 401K is affected with a secerance program?
Beam me up, Scottie!
My thoughts on layoffs.... I think of it every day.
Alas, @ahcp+1vLKyqmu is correct.
Even Magic 8 ball says " Highly unlikely".
All too many of us will Age Out, Leave/Retire, Die and Get Buried/Scattered long before this schlithole pays a penny to anyone.
Stop working so hard. The odds are totally in yur favor.
Your seat is protected and practically guaranteed,
Following the email we all got where we acknowledged our rights away by continuing employment with the bank I would say don’t expect one moving forward
OP - my "thoughts on a severance package"? He-l, yea, I want one. Been asking for YEARS.
Please let me go. I want to be PAID to leave this schlithole. Tired of propping up these incompetent Boston losers.
@8bst+1vLKyqmu - depending on your role, yes, the majority of us are premitted to work while receiving severance. (but you cannot continue Unemployment checks if you accept another W2 job)
The exception to working while receiving severance is if you are in a role that includes a Non-Compete Agreement for 6-12 months. If you are in one of those roles, am pretty sure you would know this from your hire agreement. Typically B3+ and private side of the firm. Less than 5% of the company falls into this category, so am betting you are good.
arw you able to work while with a package?
Alex - I'll take 18 months for $250,000, please....
If you type ‘corporate severance’ in the flagscape search bar and hit enter, it will take you to a link called ‘Corporate Severance Overview’. That link has the details of the severance calculation.
It’s based on your continuous service date in workday (which can vary from your original start date if you have ever left and returned). I’m working on year 31 and would welcome it.
I’ve got 25 years in. Waiting for my day to come.
If you have 20 years + in, 3 weeks per year of service. Maxes out at 18 months.
I am ready, come get me please.
yea - you mean the one I've been pleading for one for the past 20+ years. (I want to be paid to leave.)
Raised my hand multiple times in prior layoffs, only to be told "no, not you". (wtf?)
Happily give up my seat to save someone else's spot.
2 weeks for every year of service (for up to 12-18 months depending year you joined and which state you're in) + full medical.
Heck yea - where do I sign?
