I heard one of the HIPOs complaining about their raise. They were going to talk to HR about it. Apparently even the chosen ones are not happy with the raises. I think the guy got like 4 % and expected way more. Lots of employees are mad this year about the no raise or tiny raise. I wonder what the supervisors got.

Emtec G YEE 20 1.8%. What a pittance. I am now a firm believer the company wants to shed as many of us as possible. Good luck.

The raises are a joke. I have seen persons on pip get a small raise. I have also seen excellent workers get nothing for great years and work. It doesn't make sense. One guy did nothing for a few years just criused through. He missed a bunch of days and just did not come in. After about ten years at the same cl he got a promotion and a huge raise. He told the supervisor he did not expect it or deserve it and was surprised. The supervisor told him he earned it with all of his hard work for the past few years. The supervisor also said the system awarded the promotion and raise to him. The supervisor said he was just reading what was on the screen. I think the years of service is what got this person the raise. He stayed long enough to get automaticaly promoted. Tge raise and ranking system is f-c ed. Don't try to make sense of it. Work your a-s off no raise. Barely do any work and sc--w off huge raise and promotions. Kiss a ss either big raise or none. I stopped trying years ago and just smile and say ok.

How can you rank O be at the top of your reference so get a 0 or small raise without being promoted?

CL 25
upstream cube area
too many years
they gave a me a 20 percent raise which I refused and told them all I wanted was to meet the king Darren, the wonderful treatment and workers were enough of a bonus for me. I don t need a raise because I work for the best place on earth (not). In fact exxon doesn't need to pay me at all. I just love to come to the wonderful campus everyday and interact with the most wonderful people. I love everything that is exxon especially the fair ranking system and zoom meetings about nothing. In think I need to be punished and spanked for my deficiencies. I think we should all pay exxon for the opportunity work at such a lovely place. We have all been bad and need to work harder for this lovely corporation. I say we all start working 14 to 16 hours a day for the masters. I think we should start a cult of exxon like a church. Some employees already believe this about exxon as their whole career has been spent here. I have seen beyond the gates and there are other workplaces without so much dysfunction.
Once a manager said employees should be proud to work for a large corporation and this should be motivation in it self not money. I want to work for a fair employer not a rigged system.
Enjoy the joke and pun above.

  1. 5% raise boss told me it was a good raise and I should be motivated by it to work harder next year yeah right. By the time the taxes are taken out I can buy a 12 pack of beer each week with this raise. I am on the way out anyway so this was their way of kicking me out. Expect to be piped in a year or two.

Cl 25 upstream emtec 20 years service. Zero percent. Good ranking. Was told the system gave me a zero percent raise. Was also told to work harder for the next year and I would get a raise next year. There goes any motivation for me to work any harder for the next two years. They can pip away because I am NRE. I am paid well and have enough money to retire right now. I am just waiting till I hit 55. F uc um raw.

Downstream product solutions CL24 good 0%, was told because of move from upstream to downstream that I was paid too much compared to others. I got f ked. Never move. Well there goes my motivation for the few years till I retire. I have never gotten a zero percent raise in the past 20 years. Funny thing is the person who took over my upstream role got a huge raise and is getting a great review because of the improvements I made. It seems I was moved to make way for one of their stars that they want to promote. Remember in order for one to move up one has to move down. Sick place.

Based on the posts here, the raises this year vary a lot. I understand it depends on where you are on the curve, but it seems much more varied than usual.

What % does a promotion from 25 to 26 or 26/27 get you? Is it a flat 5% the. Whatever your performance %is on top of that?

@1qgh+1vMrAwSv with the new curves and the 4.5% target it was looking suboptimal but everything I'm hearing/seeing it is pretty in line with everything else. There may have been reference adjustments but none that I'm seeing in the 22-29 range

@1fmd+1vMrAwSv And a higher salary reference. A lot of the 0% or lower than expected increases you are seeing are maxed out references.

The main thing a high ranking gets you is faster CL promotion which usually includes a larger raise and RSUs. Those are the benefits of a high ranking.
