What we've seen of the incompetence at the top so far seems now to be nothing compared to what is coming. I can’t even figure out what they want to achieve. Do they know?

Neal C said in his video (justifying DA as Upstream President) that they want to increase the competitive gap between EM and the competition. My take on that, since the other O&G companies are shrinking faster (check out Chevron page herein) is to go flat to down slower. The gap then increases.
If Canada is that bad how is it that imperial stock performance way outperformed Exxon?
Exxon is a dinosaur and is headed off a cliff. No future at an oil company or with low carbon solutions. The writing is on the wall. exxon almost went under before and during COVID. The good ol boy system of running this place will continue until there is no more exxon. The only reason we exist is because of the Guiana oil and they almost f ked that up. Guiana was not because of good leadership it was luck and the persistence of a few brave employees. We are led by id--ts and fools. exxon still owns the financial mess that is canada heavy oil kearl. No one would buy this and exxon cannot sell it. I am not impressed by the way this circus is run. We are not even a 3 ring circus more like a 1 ring circus. We have several clowns in charge of us all named bozo. Every year it gets worse and more insane at exxon.
Apparently we are headed to a revolving door of failed outside executives bringing in their friends and looting the company.
Nothing will change as long as they like their a sses kissed and don t judge on work and merit. exxon is supposed to be a meritocracy instead it is a mediocrity. The meek, clueless and worthless will lead us. None of the leadership is worth a damn. I have seen it for the last 25 years and it has gotten worse. Absolute power corrupts absolutely.
And DW knows how to run the upstream because …. how?
Next crop of potential sr execs has no clue. DW knows this and it’s why he has to bring in GM wash outs to run EM.
