They are trying to reduce their pay role and are replacing them with more Indian contractors. That’s hardly an improvement for the company.
When promotions are based on tenure instead of skills or leadership potential, it creates a leadership tier that’s resistant to change. Many of these leaders never sought new educational opportunities to improve themselves or adapt to evolving industry standards.
