We found out who blabbed in the town hall a few months ago that led to the firings about the “working together” policy this past week in the Houston office(not sure if firings happened in the other offices). She works in asset admin and asked the question in the Houston townhall a few months ago which I believe started the process of hr looking into the firings. She only works the standard 8-5 but doesnt realize many of us csm’s work outside of our “8-5.” There are many times as a csm I have been working late nights (especially when reporting is due) and on weekends. I was informed that what happened Monday is just the beginning n more firings to come. Many in houston office are worried they are “next”. Managers are angry with the asset admin girl as they are left scrambling trying to figure out who to give the deals too of fired employees. They are not just focusing on “coffee badging” employees. They are also firing employees who stay for a few hours three times a week. So if you still happen to work for bny, be careful. U could be doing it right n still let go

Didn’t even know we had a Houston office
Well asset admin has to work any thing that comes in before 5 and while CSMs were leaving in the middle of the day and having no regards for Asset Admins time opening Tickets at 4:58, guess who was staying Late in the office until 6-7 pm processing those massive late cases and getting home at 8 doing quarter end. That’s right, that lady had every right to be upset.
I would leave early if I could, my manager is flexible but my work load is not and no bus until 3 PM and I am not willing to pay for parking.
Yes correct it wasn’t present previously and heard another rumors that they’ll be firing peeps that didn’t spend enough time in office in December
Everyone reading this should be aware that the Working Together FAQ was updated on November 15th. I am unsure what was there before about how long one is to remain in the office. There is a question addressing how long one is to remain in the office and the response indicates “normal working hours” or something like that. I don’t think this was in the previous version.
Coming in “for a few hours” is not “doing it right”. On the days you work at the office, you work. The day. At the office. Pretty simple.
And what exactly did this person ask in the Townhall that got HR checking into people's log-in movements?
Well I now understand why nothing gets done in Houston.
I think my whole building would be terminated if this were true. We were all instructed by directors to leave at lunch time so we aren’t stuck driving home at 8 PM.
