Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Any advise or suggestions for SSA employees about your old boss and his management style?

Yes we have excellent collective bargaining agreements but we anticipate non-adherence. Is he any worse than what Elon wants to do to us? Despite some bad apples that are hard to get rid of, the vast majority of federal employees work hard and are scapegoats for groups that want to cut government services in general. I’ve been laid off after a corporate merger and thought I’ve found some stability although for much lower pay so I’m very sympathetic. Thanks and I wish all of you well.

Buckle up my friend. Frank is about to bring you a level of psychosis. You can’t even imagine. Don’t get me wrong. I love efficiency, but Frank is different. Frank loves profits over humanity. I think it was mentioned earlier about hamburger Hill ………. perfect example. You Sir, no longer matter.

God be with you because you are going to need it. Fight back against outsourcing SSA to India. That is not acceptable.

He has little man's syndrome. An egotistical, tyrannical, maniac. I don't really know of a single soul who truly likes him and I work with all SVPs. It's mind-boggling that someone behaves in that manner but then again, there is a lot of corelation between CEOs & psychopaths. I'm sorry for what you and your coworkers will have to endure.

Hold your horses people he's not the old boss yet. Pray he gets confirmed then we take it from there. Not sure if replacement will be any better though.

@mze+1vQYNbvT you forgot "your voice" survey, where you can say something overall and give warnings and it doesn't matter. We have health and wellness reports very low. Employees say: I am unhealthy.

Result? More work. Less people. Less knowledge. Rinse, repeat. Until the stock collapses. You are sc--wed.

You forgot to add that he'll compare all the employees to McDonald's workers on a company wide town hall meeting.

On the bright side, I don’t think you have to worry about training your replacements in India.

He will replace all management with cronies from JPMC and will make you so miserable you will quit

Management style:

Completely detached from the reality of the company. Rules by decree. Does not accept any criticism or feed back - at all. Will replace all leadership positions in the organization with cronies. Communication within the organization will stop working. Both up and down. Any messages you send up the chain of command will disappear. He will reference policies that you were never notified of. He only looks at reports. He never checks if the reports are accurate. This creates a culture of fraud where employees will manipulate the data so that it is technically correct, but looks better on the report. Then every manager up the chain will also manipulate the data so that it looks better. Until Frank gets a report that is completely separated from reality. You will be measured by metrics, but which metrics he will be measuring will be determined by which numbers are easiest to maintain. You will be scored on numbers that have nothing to do with your job. Eventually you will stop performing your job duties because most of your time will need to be spent making the irrelevant metrics better.

He is completely against remote working. Still thinks he works at a bank. Will create a department purely for monitoring employees.

He is very good at making employee lives miserable so that they leave on their own.

Expect monitoring software installed on your systems. The monitoring software so slow that basic tasks take forever and are incredibly frustrating. It will take you 30 seconds to double click on an icon before your computer responds. Every time.

Maybe your experience will be different because the government is structured differently than a corporation.

Elon should be barred from being involved. He and Vivek are UNELECTED BUREAUCRATS. They are private citizens meddling in government business for financial gain.

Fu-k FB.

FB absolutely despises remote work or flexible work arrangements. This is based on his previous experience with first data and the attack on the policy he is currently enacting at fiserv. The current mantra from executive leaders under him is "better together". Forgetting that a vast majority of groups that interact with eachither are in different states/offices/countries. So you can expect a lot of gaslighting on that subject.

He is also infamous for making large abrupt cuts to the workforce and products to make quarterly reports look better. This is to keep up with a magical 2-digit quaterly growth policy.

May be different with a government job, not sure. But all previous experience indicates there will be drastic changes.
