"When we had to endure “courageous conversations” and get in touch with our own inner racism that many of us never knew existed, despite NEVER behaving or thinking along the lines of racism for our entire life."
Yup, back a couple of decades ago i never thought anything about race. I really made 0 decisions based upon that. Now it is in your face all the time. It will be like g-ns or abortion. Something that is never solved but will be a point of contention for decades.

I agree with the poster below, DEI Councils and other DEI related HR groups need to be significant downsized or eliminated as they have become too large and are using FTE resources which could be better utilized elsewhere. Worse yet, the DEI Councils, and other related groups, actually practice exclusion rather than inclusion both within their own staffing and those they support.

Agree. It was around the Obama era round 1.
Truthfully they need to get rid of all those DEI groups. That is a division itself, because you are only creating specific type of groups. You aren’t including everybody. Yes we are all different, it wasn’t an issue before DEI. Now it’s a divide between people.

When we had to endure “courageous conversations” and get in touch with our own inner racism that many of us never knew existed, despite NEVER behaving or thinking along the lines of racism for our entire life. It’s also about the time when we wrote big checks to BLM to stay off their temporary war path.
