Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

Why can’t we have mgmt that actually knows what they are doing?

Where do they find these guys? I’ve had a feeling with some that they brought them in randomly from the street. Why don’t they simply promote people from that particular field, who do have knowledge and experience? It’s such a pain to be managed by someone who sticks to the procedures but knows very little of the substance, let alone the realities on the ground.

GM. They find them at GM. Or La Quinta. You can also find them there.

I’ve had both types. The ones who grew up in the business they manage are more likely to micromanage and keep doing things the way they have always been done. Trade offs for each.

Exactly they need yes men and women. I love the talk of I like it here and I am not here for the money. They are hand picked by the leaders to continue the dysfunction.
