Turning off the Mellon lights on the Pittsburgh tower

Makes me laugh every time I see it. Looks like the bulbs burned out. Fitting. Weird.

Pittsburgh gets called a “growth location”. They just leave out the part about how it is only a couple select lines of business that will see growth.

If you noticed in the AMA with Dermott, he let slip that “you can succeed in Pittsburgh even though it’s not a focus location”.

sadly, a controlled detonation would collapse the tunnel below it that runs under the old jail and the subway that it contains.

What’s going to be even more of a laugh? That whole building is going to be vacant in less than 4 years. No way BNY is renewing the lease there. And good luck finding tenants. It would be cool to see that as a controlled demolition just like they did to the ‘Igloo’. It cost $100m to build. What a waste. Such are the follies of outsourcing and reduction.

Pittsburgh is the new Oriskany.
Growth center… yeah sure. RV and his machete see lots of cost saving opportunities there.
