Thread regarding L3Harris Technologies layoffs

Poor Leadership

These layoffs are the result of poor leadership and mismanagement. The poor leadership is a result of managers being promoted based on what DEI boxes they check, and not by merit and achievement. Here is a thought; how about promoting the most qualified candidates?

If the only thing holding L3H back was slavish obediance to woke policies they'd be in much better shape. The real problems run much deeper.

And just because a person has different skin tone or has a different national origin doesn't mean they can't be the same kind of mindless drone as the other managers.

I’m tired of reading these pathetic complaints about DEI. At my site the leadership is primarily old, white men who want to keep the workforce male and white. Lately, however, many have been dying off, so can’t wait to see who will fill those spots. If they end up being incompetent white men, they’ll have excuses ready for them. If it’s a DEI candidate, some will do their part to ensure their demise.

Institutionalized s-xism is also blatantly obvious. Some Director/Sr Manager level Neanderthals profess to ignore requests from female leaders. (White women, however, are given a little more slack.) My immoral, unethical White boss is a s-xist predator who’s had multiple affairs over the years, and who has rewarded his conquests with untethered freedom, but most have left the company after he turned on them. His female leaders who’ve ignored his advances get undermined, belittled, and poorly rated.

Maybe if a minority % of employees who have a different DEI status than you can tank the whole company, you weren't actually that good at your job. If a group project fails because 1 of the 4 people is sh---y, maybe the other 3 were kinda not all starts

If leadership at any level is not performing the job the masters wanted, they would be shown the door pretty quickly. If they keep you, your role fits this act of the play. Persisting the model at l3h is the goal, not preserving your job that will eventually be unnecessary. Sometimes in life you do everything right but circumstances beyond your control affect the outcome of the event. Control what you can, you wont change this place but you can change where you decide to sell your hours. Example: I am no longer here due to circumstances beyond my control, but they did give me a chance to fail at Accenture. Get it while you can.

I can certainly attest that at the L3 location where I worked, "DEI" seemed to apply equally to layoffs as well... no special privilege when it came to making out the hit list.

The cube lost a CEO job at Lockheed years ago for having an affair with a subordinate.
forgiveness for him though.
How many multi millions did he get when he sold L3

When the government directs it's contractors to hire people based on DEI, the contractor has no choice. Unless of course they don't want the contracts. I was at Clifton for over 20 years and saw this first hand. I personally witnessed DEI employees sitting on their as--s while others did the work, only to have the DEI employee charge the time for it. Upgrades to the next labor grade had previously been done by seniority, performance and budget. But since DEI, ALL new and old hires of color were upgraded automatically to the next level up. Including new hires who did not have a working knowledge of English! Imagine working in a place where a new hire is promoted to a level higher than you when you are doing the work! If an employee complained about this obvious fraud, they were sent to training where they had to admit their "subconscious biases". You can stump all you want about DEI being bullshyt but it did and does continue to dog this company. It is the number 1 reason for it's failures in quality, quantity and reliability. Mostly because as quality employees leave the company, all that is left are people hired for what they are and not who. The skill is gone. All that's left are politically correct bullshyt artists who don't have any coat tails left to ride on.

Well welcome to the sleazy word of defense contractors. Did you not know this when you took the job?

Give it a rest with your DEI bullsh-t. L3 is sh-----g the bed because of poor leadership and DEI has nothing to do with it. It has to do with greed.
