Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Stop lying

I’m so sick and tired of being turned down for jobs within wells. We’ve been told that we can transfer if we find something in another state even in a hub city. It’s all a bunch of bullsh-t let’s tell it like it is, why would you post any new job postings when you’re doing massive layoffs? The truth of it all is you’re not really hiring you’re just making fake job postings making it look like you are hiring when you really aren’t… in conclusion FU-K YOU!!!

Perhaps your resume is bad? Most of the resumes I have read from internal employees are just lazily written and don’t show me why they’d have the skills to do the job.

Write your resumes to the job you are applying for, not just a basic resume you send to everyone. And don’t assume your resume ever made it to the hiring manager. HR only passes along a subset they have done an initial screen on

I was laid off and rehired but I applied for 35 roles and only interviewed for 2. It’s a numbers game, but the hiring managers seem to have had the candidate chosen before they posted at least 90% of the time. Complete bs.

Yes, in a large majority of the bank there is a strong and obvious bias against former employees. Shart doesn't want anyone who worked at WF before he did.

It’s true. I was laid off & I don’t even get phone screens for similar jobs or even a step down. I read the same comments on LinkedIn & I have friends with similar stories.
