Omnissa EUC Layoffs expected

Looks like KKR is finally realizing how low the numbers really are and heads are rolling at the top sales level... This only means layoffs are right around the corner.

Why did KKR take so long to cut executives? Most of the Citrix executives were fired shortly after the Private Equity owner decided they would takeover the leadership.

Under Gelsinger's leadership, VMware EUC was doomed to decline. He's done a similarly pitiful job leading Intel. Credible leadership matters in a turnaround situation more than people realize. Shankar is equally challenged and unable to fix what's broken at Omnissa

They’ve started hitting above the belt line. Top levels of mgmt need to be concerned.

Much needed cuts now !!. Same old team with same old thinking that doomed vmware. God knows why KKR bought this cr-p and setup an office in Mountain View. KKR knows how to cook the books and get tax exemption. Same old playbook.

This is following the Citrix PE model just like the rest of Broadcom. Same playbook, same authors. I probably have 1 or 2 calls a week now with customer who are actively looking to us to help them plan to reduce their overall VDI footprint, migrate and move their UEM and modern management to InTune, and/or migrate legacy EUC stuff to SASE. How soon realistically did we think Omnissa was going to be able to get it's own hypervisor working or decouple its dependency on vSphere? That's a boat anchor of liability and uncertainty a lot of customers are looking to cut loose.

Shankar had no meaningful response to the revenue shortfall and declining sales pipeline. It was just a matter of time before we reached this outcome. KKR is learning what it's like to work with the Omnissa leadership team. Good luck to all those who will be impacted by the headcount reduction. Stay positive about your next job opportunity.

Vmware was sales and marketing company. Bc started turning it to engineering company. Omnissa should follow the same path
