Thread regarding Crown Castle International Corp. layoffs

More layoffs before the end of the year?

Chatter has been louder these days. With fiber issue still hanging in the air (and fiber performing poorly), I wouldn’t be surprised if there is reorg and more layoffs coming. Have you heard anything about it or know more? I was hoping for some breathing room against my better judgment. Well, I guess one has to always expect and be ready to be booted from CC…

Absolutely wrong. They will be hiring back. Either New or the ones who were laid off.

Crazy that people don’t know that people laid off in June are still working, as their layoff dates are coming up. Odds are those 12 found out in June

Which region?
So much for the plans of NOT laying off throughout the end of the year...
this outside of the future exit dates...
I thought that's why they put future exit dates, so they didn't have to say they 'continue additional' layoffs...

At least 12 more were let go last week. Most from the fiber side.

When you know the axe is coming, you don't knowledge share with your manager. The reason being is that, while he/she is spinning their wheels trying to figure things out, you've already taken that knowledge to another company and will have a huge head start. You in turn can take advantage of all the early business while Crown is still trying to figure things out. It's being business smart.

Why are there 2 “Former” AMT in charge of Crown now? Very interesting. Possible Crown towers to AMT in 2025?

Asking for knowledge sharing isn’t a sign of firing. Constantly perplexed by this company and its employees need to obscure what they are doing. If your job is so easily duplicated that once someone knows what you do, it’s likely not a worth while job to begin with.

@boc+1vfSICdr don’t squander your valuable knowledge. Based on your assumptions you are out the door either way. Let the ICs deal with training their friends and relatives.

There are employees coming off payroll 12/13/24. Are you asking about that layoff or yet another one?

I think the problem is that those that used to spill the truth beans here on this website have been impacted by the RIF. Those left on here are just the ones looking for the scoop and get nothing but gossip. We don’t know shitte around here. Crown leadership is a master of secrecy.

I know I am already on the chopping block. I don’t know officially but the way I am being asked to knowledge share I can see my manager setting up for a life without me. I think they do a wholesale firing of managers and promotions for IC. ICs feel valued and morale goes up and they save a bunch on salaries and rsu.
