Are we safe?! There is a lot of rumours floating about. No cirrent open positions. All positions being replaced in dublin/manchester.
They own this building, will they sell up?!

Sooner the better an announcement is made instead of speculation
I thought the guy from CT didnt confirm it? They had a meeting and it was brought up but never confirmed...
Just a long drawn out waiting game for everyone
If the chap from CT all but confirmed the office is closing how was he stringing people along?
"All signage was meant to be installed in September." 🤣
If signage isn't up by end of November with the general end of year slowdown then you know for sure if the office is closing or not.
The current building works are just getting the office compliant for a sale.
Something tells me the CT chap last month was sent down to string people along!
We should do well to see the Lurch again?
Did they put the new signage up in the Dublin office....even though ye are moving office in June to the new one?
All signage was meant to be installed in September.
It looks really well up here in Dublin, you should come visit😂
Still waiting on the new BNY branding.....
If it was leaked then their hands are tied as to what they can say.
But like everything in there could be alot of smoke and no fire. Rumours spreading like wildfire
Will it be a mass layoff or relocation or giving wfh contracts or all 3. very worrying for people working in the office. cant understand why they're not just being told now that the news is out. site heads burying their heads in the sand and not talking to staff about it. would rather know what is going to happen now insetead of hearing lots of different rumours
So it is basically confirmed then that Wexford is closing? Why wait until Feb 2025 to announce the plan to staff….
Interesting. I wonder then will the whole office close or if it will only apply to CT department
I heard from someone on Monday that decision was made and it was a leak from someone senior in CT. Formally announcing in February 2025. No idea on actual next steps or closure timelines.
It wont be Manchester. Its a growth centre, new building, and all replacement jobs are being sent there (when people have left Corporate Trust Wexford permanently or Maternity leave the replacement has been hired in Manchester
Were the signs changed in Cork?
Either Cork or Wexford. Heavily rumoured in Wexford. Any Cork people here to confirm if any rumours flying there for your office?
Also UK office rumoured to close, will it be Edinburgh, Poole or Manchester? Anyone able to confirm those rumours?
Did anyone else notice the "Mellon" was removed from the office after a comment here over the weekend. The signage was all "fixed"
Decision to be made in next 5-6 weeks and announcement in Jan/Feb.... is the most recent information being spouted around
I'm very surprised at these rumours. Huge amount of work done out of Wexford. Low staff turn over. Lower salaries than Dublin. No office rental costs as they own the building. They downsized before and had to hire them back.
Many remarks here - a lot of nonsense!
- Writing on the wall...... the new branding never made it to Wexford which is the only writing NOT on the wall!!!!!
- CT rumours (looks like it was a test, akin to a glass hammer for an id--t).
- Re those waiting for redundancy - there is a population in every office waiting for a check/cheque, you are not alone as you have comrades from Dublin to New York, London to Manchester, Poole to Cork, Edinburgh to Liverpool, Houston to Pittsburgh and beyond!!!!
- Re Growth Centres - exceptionally good at the positives!
- Dublin is not a growth centre, leasing out a few floors in the new office would be very lucrative???
- Work from home v's redundance and all other promises .... ignore it all and elevate your performance... remember who you work for, nothing is solid until in writing... until in writing you will be managed out the door!!!!!
- All other comments are just nonsense squared!!!!!
Hate all the rumours. Wish they would just tell us straight out so we know where we stand.
Redundancy at Christmas, final icing on the cake for this sh-t company
If redundancy is your only option, take it from me, it will be a blessing you didn't know you needed. How this company has lasted for as long as it has is purely down to the lower paid workers doing the work of 3 people and forgetting their own social/family life. Take redundancy and run as far as you can.
Does anyone know if they can just provide your position but in the dublin office or is there a limit on how far away they can offer the job before they have to offer redundancy instead? Especially with the new Dublin office opening next year..would they expect us to commute?
Will they offer work from home contracts or make everyone redundant?
Will they announce it in a town hall or will every group just be told by their managers?
Site is closing, will be gone in the next year and a half, final announcement in 5/6 weeks. A relief for some hanging in there for the redundancy. Interesting to see what those figures will be.
Has anyone heard anything concrete? Or is it just certain sections like CT
It isn’t looking good.
Yes site is closing. Writing is on wall.
