Cobra Help

I need some help figuring out Cobra and how to optimize my payments. I have a pending/possible job offer for January with benefit's. I’m normally very healthy and I don’t anticipate any medical bills for December, but I will be traveling out of the country.
So how do I keep Cobra on the back burner but only pay for it if I need it for December?

And secondly if this job doesn’t work out say 6 months from now as it’s a start up, can I fallback to Cisco Cobra?
Thanks

Cobra is the worst and it’s too expensive. If you need medical, go to marketplace, it’s cheaper!

Cisco paid you four months of COBRA. Use it to pay until you don’t need it. Don’t be cheap, spend your free money on your needed benefit.

When deciding whether to use COBRA, it’s essential to understand the 60-day window. This period allows you to enroll in COBRA continuation coverage after a qualifying event, such as job loss, divorce, or death of a spouse. You have 60 days from the date of the qualifying event or the date your notice is mailed, whichever is later, to enroll in COBRA.

you will need to prove to your new health insurance that you have had continuous coverage in order to not have a pre-existing condition issue.

I don't believe you can fallback to cisco health insurance once you stop it. ( but there is also a retiree health plan option if you are old enough )
