@wsb I know of a few folks who were let go under the Profile umbrella but I am sure there had to be others. Unfortunately I was not on the list.
In hearing more are happening today. Anyone able to confirm?
f off loser
Laid off last year and in talks with two of my clients to work on viable core alternatives to FIS. I know one for sure isn't renewing their contract and they are both key accounts. I'd really pay attention to who you are laying off, FIS. I'm certain I can cost you around 5 million.
Any news on the next round? I haven’t heard anything but our quarterly earnings call is next week and they always seem to happen right before then
List for Q2 layoffs is getting prepared.
With the traiff and trade uncertainty there is meaningful slowdown.
All the banks reporting Q1 results are talking about the upcoming recession. That means no new clients or new business
Stephanie is going to keep cutting the workforce ever remaining quarter of 2025.
Heard some tech dev layoffs took place today. Wed/29/2025.Here we go again.
2025 is a brutal year. Company is not getting any meaningful size new customers. Every quarter Stephanie is just going to cut the workforce bit by bit and we are NOT even in a recession YET.
Layoffs about to happen tomorrow in Tech Dev, and some already started for India team. Here we go again!
Wait who's going to be carrying out the lay-offs if the people office is being purged. How many were laid-off? Are more expected this week?
When they have a mass lay-off the company is required to provide a list with the demographics of at least age, M/F, position title, dept and I think pay grade and possibly yrs of service.
More layoffs in the People Office today.
Any update on March layoffs? Is tech dev engineering still the target?
Any idea when layoffs will take place?
I’m on a PIP and was hoping to be laid off as my experience has been grossly toxic at best, I hope those affected find a new role shortly, best of luck!
I was laid off in a "mandatory group meeting" There were approximately 70ish people in the group. I somehow was provided a full list of positions and age of those laid off. Mostly Analyst, resource managers, managers, project managers.
Severance pkg for the most recent RIF included 2024 bonus if you were eligible, but no 401K match.
I was part of a RIF late 2024-they did not pay out the 401k match that was earned because I was short 7 months of being with the company 3 years.
Anyone know if the 401k match is being given to those who are part of the RIF's? HR has never posted an official answer or updated online documentation. If you were part of the RIF what did they tell you about the 401k match? Do you get it or not? If you get it when do they pay it out to you?
Do we know what week in March tech dev engineering will have their layoffs? Will it be a Monday again?
Definitely more layoffs coming in March in both tech dev and value stream operations
Word on the street is more RIFs coming in March in TechDev engineering.
This was company wide. It's as if they sorted a spreadsheet and took out anyone making a certain level. Ridiculous amount of knowledge lost and the people left have to pick up for those that are gone. And this will do nothing except boost the stock price
Hello analysts if you are listening! We get less than half the amount of money for total investment in the firm than 1 quarter of money used for stock buybacks. How the he-l did this get one of the best places to work?
got a surprise meeting invite today and was told my position was eliminated after 20+ years at FIS
I, too, had the same experience on Monday. My 1-on-1 was a covert move to tell my my job was eliminated and I was relieved of my duties effective immediately. It was a shock and painful, despite them saying "it wasn't personal, or anything to do with your performance, bla bla bla..."
I had been there over 7 years and others I worked with who were let go were also senior/experienced employees. I was on the Product Management team, personally. Haven't heard of any of my dev friends being let go yet.
It is a disgusting horrible company that just doesn’t care. Leadership is terrible, way too heavy with middle management and Stephanie Ferris is the worst thing to ever happen at that company. I am talking with all of my old clients and advising them to to not renew their contracts due to the bad management and instability. These are key accounts and most of them were unhappy to begin with. I can’t wait to truly cost FIS some major accounts.
As a new employee, not exactly inspiring stuff to see layoffs like this.
@Seeing folks in Product and Dev let go. All highly experienced.
Is it a certain product line? Systematics, Profile, IBS etc?
Seeing folks in Product and Dev let go. All highly experienced.
Are employees from Germany affected at all? I have yet to receive any signals.
My manager bumped up to Monday as opposed to later in the week per the usual. When I joined, it was my manager reading from a screen, then turne dit over HR who walked me through a 30 minute conversation of how my job was being eliminated to reduce duplicate workloads and for efficiency.
What type of roles are being eliminated?
Yes my 1:1 was this morning. This meeting was bumped up to Monday as opposed to later in the week per the usual 1:1. When I joined, it was my manager, along with a member of HR who walked me through a 30 minute conversation of how my job was being eliminated to reduce duplicate workloads and for efficiency.
"My layoff was disguised as a 1:1 with my manager." - Did that happen today? I am waiting if something will happen to me, either via email or anything else
Looking at the last employee handbook published in June 2024 the minimum amt of severance is 4 weeks based on your Pay Grade and time at FIS. That doesn't mean they haven't made changes since then, like they changed the 401k match without telling anyone.
My layoff was disguised as a 1:1 with my manager.
Anyone from Asia-EMEA already laid off?
They give out severance based on the employee handbook. You should also get a letter estimating what the payout will be. They do not give out more than what is outlined in the handbook lol, they are a horrible company. I guarantee these cuts have been in the works for years. This is why they changed the merit payout to be in June. It's why they changed the severance package a year or two ago. It's why they changed the 401k vesting rules.
Can anyone confirm if the company gives minimum severance according to the local law or gives anything additional?
So are people getting phone calls or mtg requests with their managers or is FIS so callous that they just send an email and lock the employee out of any systems access and only get email?
Any one know what divisions/groups/departments will be impacted or is it across the board? Systematics, Profile, IBS, etc?
It has begun.
