Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

BFS Standby

So BFS has no $$ for standby pay but they can still afford to pay Digital Techs to do Wire Tech work?

A lot of us have 500000 reasons why we want that too.

Spoken like a true loser, how far is a measly 500k going to take you? And by the way there is not a one of you losers that have close to 500k in your pension even if you had 50 years service.

*so we can expedite the massive layoffs and transition to a contractor based company *

Awesome. A lot of us have 500000 reasons why we want that too. STFU and get started.

Then why are you whining about us turning off our work phones

Not complaining actually prefer you losers don’t answer ( but most of you will because your extravagant lifestyles you can’t do without it, like a crack addict) so we can expedite the massive layoffs and transition to a contractor based company and not have to worry about the drain and fraud you people conduct daily. Please don’t answer go drive for Uber or deliver pizzas to make up your lifestyle deficit, do not answer the phone .

There is enough of you losers that will answer the phone because most of you need the ot to survive

Then why are you whining about us turning off our work phones and ignoring callouts to enjoy our time off? Get your whining and story straight stooge.

a standby tech also can’t be drinking the week he’s on call for obvious reasons.

From what I have seen the majority of you look like a bunch of dirty unshaven drunks anyway, so I am sure “not drinking “ for a week is absolutely the hardest part of your pathetic low iq, low skilled job.

If you answer the phone and go you will be paid , period. I truly hope the company never brings it back, starts contacting the work out and gets rid of everyone of you whining self absorbed jerks that “think” you are highly skilled. The only skills you need to have to do your pathetic jobs is sc--w a cienna to a wall and call a manager to provision it for you and occasionally know how to pull a wire from point a to b. So in other words you can be replaced by a kindergartner and a wire monkey.

“Every one of you that turn your phones off , block calls or don’t answer are characterless creeps.”

Ok lol. Feel free to work for free. The rest of us are not stupid like you. You do realize a standby tech gets paid to be on standby because he has to drop whatever he’s doing and respond within two hours, regardless if it’s a family function, his kids birthday etc. a standby tech also can’t be drinking the week he’s on call for obvious reasons. So you expect techs to not have a life and still drop everything like being with family or having a drink out of just company loyalty ? You must be one of the mo--n L4s or higher running this place. As you execs say , this is a business , not a charity. I don’t work for free. Go F yourself clown.

“This is where real character applies, when they were paying $750 a week your customers were important now that you will only be paid what you work they are not? Every one of you that turn your phones off , block calls or don’t answer are characterless creeps. Hope you understand by not taking calls the company WILL find a work around and in the long run that will jeopardize your jobs. So band together and watch what happens, hope you enjoy the taste of government cheese because ultimately that is what you will be eating.“

T management seems to forget about those quarterly shareholders emails they have to send out telling about all of the millions & millions they make. You can’t sling a dead cat around this place and not see wasted dollars, from one p!ss poor failed venture to another, bloated layers of management who do nothing but have conference calls & send emails, multiple center managers with 10 or 15 direct reports who should easily be able to “manage” several fold more than that. And for BFS specifically, if their budget includes $$ to pay Digital Techs to do wire tech work but the budget doesn’t include standby pay, then whoever is making the budget isn’t doing a good job.
We will not put our lives & families on hold waiting around for the phone to ring and bow at the feet of T for the opportunity to go out in the middle of the night. No standby pay, no callouts. We ain’t coming. Good luck with T-Mobile, 911, FAA, TSPs,……

BFS is way over budget and Chad is having a meltdown. Reports are run weekly and if anyone show over time their boss, bosses boss and bosses bosses boss will feel the heat because that’s where we are now. Such an effective way to manage

Leave your work phones at work.
Use that block feature on your personal phone.

Techs, just turn off your phones when you shift ends. Dispatch won't be able to ask you to take it if your phone doesn't ring!

All of you techs should try to band together and refuse any and all callouts. They can’t force a callout on you if you’re not on call. That’s your own time. The company has SLA’s with many business customers where if a tech is not dispatched within a couple of hours , AT&T has to pay them real money. At&t is greedily trying to sc--w over its own customers and not abide by their own SLAs.
