Even if you didn't hear, the 2025 layoffs came as predicted.
heard that Hoodie Noshoes is planning another major round but not sure of the timing
So many areas being overbuilt with fiber by other companies. Copper is about 5 percent of what is capable of (5 working pairs per hundred) or less. Many areas don’t make enough revenue to pay the electric bill and upkeep in the old buildings.
Most of us have been expecting massive layoffs for years now. Nobody has anything to do on an average day. We just keep rehabbing cable that has no customers.
Who all is included in legacy?
What colors?
They had better sell Legacy before the layoffs happen. They can only throttle installs and repairs for so long before they release them to the field. With a layoff there wont be anyone to release them to. That being said....offer me the buyout!!!!!
Kate also said in that Forbes article that Lumen needs to save 1 BILLION by 2027. Where would she get that money? Do the math.
Didn't Kate just say all of the legacy Lumen "telco" has to go? So yep, more layoffs are probable or do expect people to jump ship or be su-ked into a sell-off where the new place does the RIF'ing.
It's Lumen, so expect layoffs. 1 or 2 major layoffs each and every year.
Pull your head out of the sand, polish upn the ole resume, and join the painful job market while you still have a job.
