DEI is a huge problem at Verizon but so is the IT department that is basically little India. These people have enabled THOUSANDS of American IT jobs. And these India people are NOT top talent, just willing to work cheaper. Once the India people get into leadership they have more bias than White people!

The DEI has officially ended at Verizon. New CEO will create a system of reward top performers and eliminate all those DEIs. Two years ago CEO hired a DEI Women who lasted 6 months running Consumer division. That move alone should of accelerated CEO replacement.

The challenge is DEI culture remains so time for 8,000-10,000 jobs to be cut and eliminate waste… Follow DIDGE modeling!

Any spinoff (if any) will be a couple years off, once they figure out how to separate and operate Fios and Copper separately. Not to mention SEC/FCC/State approvals to follow....

This is a new one. According to a friend still there VZ is looking combine the copper plant of both VZ and Frontier and spin off to a sperate company. The is part of both companies is a huge money loser for the bottom line.

Don't cry people. As people get poor they will cut lines. Families won't have more kids, so the lines will grow anymore... they will star to shrink. So what is to be done. If you loose your job, join the army...join the navy... join something to fight in asia. The time is coming where we will be on the ground in asia. Have fun....don't cry anymore. If you cry, you are missing out on the fun!!!!

@OP is fishing again.

Layoffs always happen in VZ, 2025 will be no different.

One accelerator for layoffs will be the Frontier purchase, where common functional areas will see reductions - IT, Back Office, HR, etc...

Not union employees, you mean right to work states. Keep voting Red. Keep voting against your own interest. You just entered the FOFI phase.

We have layoffs every year, I am not sure why 2025 will be any different.

I hope I am not correct but judging how 2024 went, we'll have even more cuts.

Call center representatives are gonna take a big hit, next year. There underperforming and most of there work is outsourced. Plus a majority are refusing to RTO.
