Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

How many?

How many heads have rolled under Charlie's big butcher kn--e and what is the end goal number he is looking to meet. What is the count now?

We have like 240k total, but 164k or so domestic employees. I remember at time after the merger when we had like 260k domestic employees. look it up in the old annual reports, it's all in there. 100k people have been canned since.

What ever happened to 220k employees? Down to 164? That's crazy.

I was going to be a victim of Chainsaw Chuck, but I chose to quit before I had to succumb to this Morale busting HUB strategy.

We're at 164k right now. I have no idea what Shart's goal is. He won't be at WF much longer I'm guessing. The golden parachute awaits. Over the next couple years he'll continue to downsize at roughly the same rate, so we'll probably be at about 140k when he leaves. He wants to be known as a 'turn around CEO'. That's the goal. Massive headcount reduction and the cap being lifted will give him that.

The only question in my mind is what the survivors can expect from the next CEO. More of that same until we're all gone, or will this actually be someone with vision that wants some domestic employees. Time will tell.
