I can't imagine halving a team and expecting them to continue doing the same amount of work as before. I also doubt that there'll be a mass hiring event to fill those positions any time soon (I know the goal here is to get cheaper employees, but I highly doubt it'll be a one-for-one thing). So what is going to happen?

Start stop and continue wasn’t that what MP had as talking points on her tour before the last layoff massacre. How bout SLT you Start doing your jobs and build a strategy that is actually sustainable and works, how bout you STOP destroying lives of people with tenure, competence, passion, and talent by firing them because you find them too expensive, too old, and irrelevant because they don’t fit in your mold of what you think the future should look like, and how bout you CONTINUE to reap what you sow. Karma is real and this is not how you run a business or treat people. It’s just embarrassing at this point.
@mgy+1vtnvdLZ: You are an incompetent id--t. I know who you are. Of course you will talk sh-t about GE. You wish you could be like him.
Especially GE in STS. Guy is a joke that nobody likes except for MR.
The teams that are left will have to absorb the work Then they’ll be told to create their ”stop doing” lists because upper management always assumes people do extra non essential work!
