Irving Rumors?

Any truth to the interest in buying Irving? Could that be the "buying" rumor going around?

There’s no strategy in acquiring at this stage - especially not downstream; it was made clear by jon that there wouldn’t be any more acquisitions until current manufacturing had stabilized, which it is very far from. There is a strategic fit in opening up to be acquired unless we can shift our performance.

Very true. The Board would accept any offer with a share price premium at this point. They would be required to accept to appease our angry shareholders.

We’re more likely to be acquired than do the acquiring at this point.

That would be the d-mbest thing they could ever do. I’ll be ready to short CVE stock if that happens.

It would be d-mb for them to buy a large refinery that only handles light/medium gravity oil. Probably means they’ll buy it and run it poorly.

Was it ok that a former CFO completes an aquisition? Just asking

Jon is on the Irving board. Not sure it is ethical or breaks any rules that he is on the board, but a purchase would likely trigger an investigation.. not sure the purchase would happen, but who knows!

More downstream? It does not make any sense
