Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

They ruined a once great company

I used to feel genuinely proud to work at Chevron. Now, I’m indifferent at best. These days, I’m even lowkey hoping to get laid off so they’d force my hand and make me leave. I guess it’s true what they say: we’re not meant to like our jobs, just do them and get paid.

Why should WE leave? I’m not the one who f***ed up over and over? Where is the ACCOUNTABILITY of these so-called leaders? Even if I find another job, it is a significant disruption in my career, earning power, and retirement planning. I have earned every last cent that this company has paid me, but I have serious doubts about the 🤡s running it.

To all those of us who are feeling hurt about this once great company, please seriously evaluate your chances of getting another job outside and leave asap.

Don't hope, just go! What's the point in moping around and being miserable? You need to take charge of your own life.

Sadly the average employee despises the company at this point. Not sure how anyone can spin that as a positive.

Mike has been a failure. Mark is a robot. Rhonda had her own agenda and ruined the culture. The bench to replace Mike isn't good. Yes, CVX is on a downward spiral...
