Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

Any BTC employees jump to Chevron?

Are Chevron really offering higher salaries?

How many EM staff have gone to Chevron so far?

BTC work environment sure is good. We can make mistakes all day every day, no expectations of us getting anything correct, and get 29% raise. Then some 50+ year old guy in Spring corrects our mistakes. BTC gets all the credit and our 50+ year old correcting guy in Spring gets NSI and 0% raise.

We do need a plan for when the final expert in Spring gets PIPd.

Bro, our 4.44% raises were substantially larger than your 25% raises.

The realities aren't pretty, but they are reality.

LOL - You mean all of those that they fired?

I received a 25% pay increment, & I have a trash can.

BTC ROCKS

EM may have given BTC engineers 25% raises, but that is still below the average pay of the cleaners and gardeners on Spring Campus.

It’s “than”.

I’m guessing you come from a USA university.

Or Texas.

Buddy. You do not need to justify that Indian engineers are anything better then average.

We all know the truth in this forum.
Not fooling anyone here.
…. You can try.

NO OFFENSE, but if you are American engineer working at Exxon, you are the bottom of the barrel too, scared of Excel Macros and proud of being able to find the calculator and snipping app — thats your skill.

Even the bottom barrel Indian engineers study advanced calculus in high school and could do it in their head. Its your ignorant American view of the world that got you here - India and China are far super societies with rich cultural history. Yes the past few hundred years India was exploited heavily by the West ( go read about the famines Churchill caused in India), but India will bounce back as it has done over thousands of years and your immoral, souless society of depressed young men and women not sure of their gender , will perish. It has begun, go cry in your basement.

No offense to BTC folks, but if you are an “engineer” in India and were not able to get a work visa in the USA……
You know that you are all are bottom of the barrel engineers (from diploma mill universities).
Good Indian engineers actually get jobs in the USA. All the ones that can’t make the jump are just mediocre.
Please don’t forget that.

Exxon doesn't care about the hourly folks. 25% of them have already left

Yes I agree exxon people are arrogant and rotten. They like to blame all problems on the lower caste classes.

I worked for exxon and have to say, working with Chevron people and managers is much better. I won't come back to exxon unless the offer is double or more!

We received a 25% raise because ExxonMobil management values our time and quality. I believe I will stay.

How much increase did Exxon give you?

Lots of movement every few months. It is the nature of outsourcing. Jump to chevron then exxon then back again. Keep moving up until it is not cost effective. Once not cost effective the work will move to an even lower cost country. I applaud the workers get as much as you can.
