I was against H1B when president Trump pointed out how bad they were back in 2016. But now that he and Elon say that the H1B is a good thing, I guess I don't really have a problem with them. I support our president and our leaders like Musk.
I recall a few years ago walking through Building 3 seeing an advertisement on the pillars for H1B applications. They moved out powertrain manufacturing before that and what came in felt like another country. Now it makes sense. Ford has been doing this for many years n
Elon already stated American workers are lazy compared to his workers in China that work 12 hour shifts... his perfect future is minimum wage workers working 12 hour shifts without unions.
Elon and Trump are in support of work visas. It makes workers easier to abuse and less likely to complain for fear of being kicked out of the US. They will also work for less.
I just read an article that says Boeing engaged $9 an hour Indian engineers to build 737 Max software all while laying off American engineers.
We are all going to have to learn to live on significantly lower wages. It also won't surprise me Tesla and other OEMs begin acquiring housing near their facilities to rent to us workers.
To be fair, I suspect that the Biden / Harris administration probably support the H1B policies. So of course they wouldn't pass legislation to stop it.

They don't like EVs and will NEVER buy one. But they agree with Elon's politics. Especially his hate. They hate the same things and same people.
They will support Elon'd decision to use H1Bs to replace American workers. And they will talk about what a genius he is for doing it.
They will cry when they lose their jobs to H1Bs after Ford and all the other OEMs start doing it too. And it absolutely will happen.
Elon and our President are in strong agreement about the H1B - our President previously stated publicly that he was opposed to H1B, but recently changed his opinion to support it.
All of the people on this forum are heavy supporters of our president and will support his decision to encourage the use of H1Bs to staff workforces.

Lazy American workers should be replaced with legal h1b workers. This will help lower the cost of US products and will improve US productivity. We can and will compete with other countries again.
