Thread regarding University of Phoenix layoffs

With enrollment so much down what is to be expected? We have been bleeding people since the spring and since business is hurting so much I\'d say we will be releasing more resources very soon. I work on the admin side and my work load has been cut in half not to mention that I expect it to drop even further. Now, there are four of us at this particular admin department at University of Phoenix and our work has been cut in half. All of us are aware of this and we expect the axe to fall very soon - I\'d have to say that I enjoy working with my folks here and there is no blood as the UOP has treated me well - on the other hand - so much uncertainty about future is driving me nuts. I\'ve spent 11 years doing admin work for a couple of educational entities, and with the whole sector in shambles there is nowhere to hide. That\'s what\'s making things tough, the layoff is more or less ok, but the fact that one has lost options and there is no alternative - that\'s what\'s a bummer.
