I've been with L3 for quite a while and I have never felt so down as nowdays. It seems like nothing we do makes difference, with the whole economy in shambles there is very little an individual can do to change situation. I work at Broomfield, Colorado offices (corp) and I witness how morale is going down every day. It's sad that such a fine company has to go through such a desperate phase...

Level 3 is known throughout telecom for conducting layoffs on a consistent basis, it's their business model. If it looks like they will not meet financial goals they turn to layoffs as a solution. When Level 3 bough TW telecom Jeff Story told legacy TW telecom employees not to worry about the history of layoffs that Level 3 is known for -- pretty much a bold face lie from the CEO. TW telecom was a good company with a history of taking care of it's customers as well as it's employees, Level 3 trashed that legacy and it won't be long before any traits of TW Telecom are completely erased.
