Just can't. Execs already have packages worth millions if the merger goes through successfully. Even the CFO that only join less than a year got a very nice package. They will do all the can to keep the deal. Plus there is so much break up fee, $3.5 billion. That is a lot of money to hire the best lawyers in the whole world to overcome antitrust rule. Best way to avoid this situation is to become financial independence yourself then retire. Otherwise, gotta keep up with rat race and work to get the $$$.
