Just found out there will be more layoffs next week! Nothing to do with performance. Only new hires are gone!

I can see 4 categories: the ones that misspell, the other ones that mock the first ones for misspelling because they can, the 3rd one that do nothing, and the 4th ones that don't want to know nothing. Albeit such a peculiarity is common, am not part of any.

They misspelled the word 'pais' instead of 'pays' the former meaning 'country' in Spanish. Is this what bothers most?

to the previously commented: this implies that the folks that got laid off had no qualifications as they get paid nothing now. are you expressing your personal opinion? and what does it have to do with visa? i am just an outside observer trying to be enlightened

As I said keep your ignorant biases including the salary numbers to yourself! It's not visa which "pais" high salaries but your qualifications.

Anonymous68176.There is aplenty of talents in this country especially in drilling. The fact of paying Social Security taxes does not mean that you may fully recover it in 30 years. And not everyone including US citizens that also pay for unemployment insurance can receive them. If you, highly paid office guys and girls, are making $5-6K biweekly, why would you need UC that pais only $800?

Depending on who posts it on FB, it could be gospel. And it did actually happen, so there you have it.

More visa jobs are lost in our place. STFU if you're ignorant about the realities of losing a job on a visa.May you get the unemployment money which a visa holder paid for without getting anything back.

bunch of people that left in houston are on H1B visas and most of those left in offices are useless. I found a decent job as well, have no regret what so ever. I just want to see what all these office guys that get way over $100K/yr are going to do when they are on the streets. Believe me, this is why they do and will do everything possible, legal and illegal, to secure their jobs. the management keep'em there and as dirty as they are. good perspectives

I read it on facebook. So much for confidential. The only thing confidential are the names and the financial details. I was laid off earlier this year. I have to admit that I have gone through a grieving process, but have come out OK. A new job. More glamourous, but maybe not as challenging. I know it sounds arrogant, but they are laying off the wrong people. I know a lot of those left that can't deliver.
