I didn't create this post, but I can tell you I was laid off yesterday and that I worked in tech. I was one of many. I can't confirm final numbers, but I can say it was between 40-60 employees. While I also confirm that additional layoffs are coming, I can say during my meeting with my now former boss and HR I was told that currnelty the concentration was on tech, but that it would be a business wide endeavor. While there are always rumors of layoffs, this week it did indeed happen.

Don't post about layoffs unless you're going to give useful information like where, when, and how many. People have been posting about layoffs for months and nothing has happened. I don't think they do layoffs at all anymore. They pressure people and micro manage until the person quits. They don't want their stock to plummet or the bad press so they do everything possible to not layoff. That and they don't want to pay any severance so if the person quits they benefit on so many levels.
Based on what?
