Halliburton will lay you off, walk you out the gate, and mail you your personal stuff, you won't get close to a company computer. It is off the yard and gone, you can call them if you need something, welcome to the RED.

I Have had a few friends get laid off at the end of the day on a Friday. They still had access to the network up until Monday.
Email cancelled as soon as terminated - HR ban goodbye emails as it's bad for employee morale.....

Nope. You are considered a non-entity the moment that phone call is made to be met with your manager. Better off just never believing you have had worked there at all.
