AR Argosy Raises

Hi guys, what is the yearly raise for an AR? I heard it was 5k for the first 3 years. Is that right?

If not what is it?

As another stated ai 1st as the others will follow suit as they start with the biggest brand. In other words more layoffs for others during the April-June time frame. Showyour ignorance by not looking for future employment as karma will catch up eventually

Anonymous85954…. What department are you in that you say Ai hasn't given raises in 5 years??? I came in 2011, and there had been raises every year on anniversary date up until July 2012, and they did away with it for a year. Then in July 2013 and ever since we have been getting raises on our anniversary dates, and much larger ones at that then has been in place before

Argosy, South, Ai, BMC are interchangeable. Sorry 86119... The corporate ethics trickle down through all the schools. Once the Ai bleed is staunched , the others will transition. BTW...look at the post regarding Florida and the attemp for accreditation and new programs posted way down the feed. KKR is changing things up at all 4 schools. So hold on tight.

The defensiveness of the AR's/ADA's on here speaks volumes on how they actually do their jobs.

86105 Your lack of correct punctuation hints at the fact you may also be an Argosy student as well as an admissions employee. Good luck with that advanced degree and finding a credible job in the future.

Well that's Ai not Argosy or South University. Any student must be complete fools to go to Ai... I knew that in HS.. Whether its campus or online.. All the same

Ar's or ADA's call em what you will. The slide show that must be tracked through with each student candidate states no work is guaranteed, but then, you can move on from the slide, because most don't show but about 50% of the slides anyway unless being re-certified. To do an "interview" to Ai requirements is a 2 hour tedious awful fork in the eye process. I think applications are submitted at the end because of the pity factor.

There are no morals in enrollment. The poor student, literally and figuratively that walks in the day of class start and is shoved into a class 2 days later to make the start numbers fails miserably and is cone by midterms but high five we made the plan...because it is all about the student, never about the numbers of the school...excuse me I need to barf, BRB...

As I was saying...

Bravo 86095. Your comments are on point and mirror many experiences I have had with AR's. The AR's that last more than six months and the least to be trusted.

I worked in admissions and in student services at Argosy for 6 years total. I refused to lower my morals and be unethical so I struggled in the AR role. However, there were other AR's who consistently struggled more than me but because they "played the game" and did whatever it took to get a student that received less negative management follow up. I was highly successful in my AA position but daily dealt with the lies and inaccuracies provided by AR's and DOA's to new students. EDMC wants malleable, corruptable individuals in the AR role to do their dirty work. If you value $ over ethics, morals, and the well-being of students, the AR role is perfect for you.

I'm pretty sure if an AR guarantees employment they get fired so get your facts right! Student are getting that from venders that promise if they go to school they will get a job. If you aren't on the front line don't make assumptions.

I find it interesting that a group of overpaid "call center" employees (AR's, ADA’s) think they are the lifeblood of an educational institution. Narcissistic belief in one’s over inflated value explains a comment like 86054

Let’s not forget, most of the lawsuits against EDMC are about recruiting practices or as they say in the real world…lies to get students to come to school. I have yet to teach a student who has not been lied to by an AR to get them to come to school. Some new students are still being told that they are guaranteed a job after graduation.

As for school provided lesson plans, any Prof. worth anything will tell you that the lesson plans are useless. Quality Prof’s make their own lesson plans based on the core competencies’ for the course to provide the student with a lesson plan to understand and create quality work.

Yup on kool-aid and crack...another example of what's wrong with edmc...money and overpaid car salesman ie ARs compared to industry...reality is ars have high turnover. Get over yourself because you will be elsewhere soon enough. Word

Wa wa wa... I'm a teacher and I have turn it in that helps me grade papers and the company builds my lesson plans. Someone pay me more for supervising and passing students who have no business being here. I have such a hard job. Someone pity me!!! Go get a real teaching job.

Talk about being sour! Without ARs there wouldn't be any students. You think students line up to go to EDMC schools?? Ha, maybe you wouldn't last a week as an AR! ARs are seriously the backbone of the company. I know a lot of you wouldn't agree and in that case why not try it out! I bet the same person who cried ARs make more than the teachers wouldn'tcut it. The turn over rate isn't that high anymore eitherby the way. In fact how can you call yourself a teacher when you don'teven make the lesson plans and half of you push student through who can barely write a paragraph... Way to set the standards of our school so high!!!!

Shows you where EDMC and Argosy values still are today even after going into default lawsuits and bad press. MONEY, MONEY, MONEY. Recrutiers get paid more then the teachers, who by the way are the comodity of the school? So much for the line "Non-Profits are businesses too" yeah, well then big difference is quietly education the better they pay. EDMC has that in reverse. In fact they fired a guy for sticking up to the students. Was big news in the papers a couple of years ago. Google Mike Tracy AIOC. Fired because he didnt want to force the kids to buy books they didn't need.

Actually it is 15% for the first three years not exceed your years cap. Ars start at 40 and go to 45 at their first year mark, 50 at their second year and 55 at their third year. After you got the cap you get 3% every year after.

Are you on crack, ai for example has not given raises in 5 years, and you think that Argosy will tip the scales in actually giving raises, and then propose a number like 5 grand!
