How is it decided on which team members to layoff and which ones to keep?

Based on most of the posts here, it was based on performance and talent. They cut all the talented and high performers. Looks like they didn't get all because the remaining high performers are interviewing with other companies.

  2. If you are paid near the top of your pay grade

  3. just bad luck to be chosen to legally balance out those canned due to #1 and #2

  4. If you have anything on your HR file, no matter how trivial or unfair.

*otherwise no sense. Layoffs apparently chosen by an outside consultant....so it can only be the above (was/is definitely NOT based on performance).

Basically... Think how any logical person would pick 1700 names to get cut. Target is the exact opposite of that.
