Keep cutting staff at the store level and adding staff at the home office and this is what you get. Quote from school "Just as important, Berenson is hoping the return to having an independent bookstore with allow for the sort of customer service and community connection some felt has been lost in recent years."

I couldn't have said it any better. So, who are the young stars who can ride to the rescue. The current group needs to be swept out like last night's spillage.

just another example of how far this once great industry leader had fallen. Could the competition ask for a better indictment of FHEG? Has anyone in the Home Office ever worked in a college bookstore? It seems that today's management team is book smart and street stupid. Bob Follett, Dick Litzsinger, Dick Traut, George Carr, Steve Prybil, Debbie Willis, Don Olsavicky, Sherri Dotson et al learned the business by working in the stores. Who in the current executive staff has worked a rush? Stood before a faculty meeting to discuss out of stock texts? You can have all the degrees in the world but without a first hand knowledge of your industry how can you lead let alone have credibility with your employees?
