Explain why a red hat lab tech with great work ethic and knowledge but issues with manager's lab pet would be laid off and 2-4 month old greens are kept??

A lot of good hands were laid off from Sperry, prior to getting rid of the PSL. In the process, Halliburton has ensured that they have trashed Sperry and made it sterile, and all future bids are going to be a 2 way contest between SLB and the HAL. Effectively, both the giants have finished off competition and have monopolized the industry. Its really a shame that people with 25 + years experience were let go from Sperry, without a thought and they have left the company bitter, in contrast to retaining people with much lower experience in Baker Inteq. people in Baker will start to feel the heat from top management of HAL, and will soon start crying about how good, the old days in Baker were. Shame ... that Laser, Miller and Co have treated Speery like shite, in the name of a great business decision.

i'm guessing sperry is quite capable of doing that on their own without any help from anybody, thank you very much!
Halliburton is crippling Sperry so it cannot compete with Intech once the merger is complete and Sperry is divested.
