When is everyone going to have guts enough to stand up and fight back instead of cowering behind this board????

Actually this board is an effective way of expressing our opinions. We know that it is being read by senior management.
I plan on continuing to cower. Don't see any reason to change.
To Anonymous89350: That I am.
Wow. And you guys didn't get fired for violating the code of conduct????
I wrote a novel during working hours. It happens.
You must be a VP.
I have worked on average 5 hours per day for the past year (and get paid full time). This is a good gig and I am riding it out.
Oh, god, just quit.
There is life beyond the Follett cesspool. Why waste all this energy trying to fight a fixed system?
Unfortunately most managers left are spineless and deserve getting s$$t on!
Show them they're right. you don't help. You don't know what you're doing. Call in sick. Orchestrate it so 20% of your department calls in sick everyday for a week. When you're asked to do somebody else's job, you're too stupid to know how. Inventory and graduation are coming up. Choose a week around those (you don't need to hurt students). It is a direct action. What are they going to do, fire you? They've taken your benefits, they've cut your pay, they've taken your bonuses. Sometimes having nothing is better than having it all. Go for it!
The only way to have "them" hear enough is enough is if all full time employees that are left put in their two weeks. Then what? All the stores will need need employees, and we all know it takes months to hire anyone. So the stores will sit empty or "they" will realize what a piss poor job they are doing. Because no one from upper management can run a store or even start a new day, much less fight each system they put into place. Let them face every day challenges.
Seriously?? Fight back how? They yield the sword. Anytime stores express concern over new systems, central ordering of supplies, (really need 144 marker/post-it pens,) staff cuts which hurts customer service & loss prevention in stores, etc., we are told to sit down & shut up because we don't know what we are doing.
Huh? Fight over what exactly?
