Thread regarding Follett layoffs

CMM's--when will we be escorted out?

When are the CMM's going to be cut? I'm a new CMM having started late last year and this centralization of CM tasks--the spreadsheets, forecasts, etc., make me feel like I do not have a future in this company. Anyone heard anything?

I would follow the previous person's post and update your CV. I have nothing concrete at this point beyond a sickening feeling in the pit of my stomach based on the relentless attempts to centralize ordering that it's likely to happen within the next year or two. Every attempt has been a failure, but their refuse to stop beating the dead horse means they hope to fool the family into thinking the twitches on the corpse mean the horse not only lives, but is healthy enough to move forward and restructure the company to hide continuing losses through a reduction in overhead expense through a lack of proper actual innovation.

I updated my resume and I am actively searching for a better job. There is no future in this company.

I know many CMMs that were purged and were in big stores making sales, great shrink numbers...they never saw it coming. Get out if u can. Follett gives zero f***s about your loyalty...or you can wait until the school figures out Follett is useless..then everyone goes.

At least you aren't alone. Many of us are wondering when our department will get hit. This has been the longest purge I have seen. It just never seems to end.
