Hello has anybody gave any thought that this website is monitored and also decriped and ip addresses being traced? This is possible. Does anyone have any input on this? I wouldn't be surprised if this is how they will choose the next victim.

I'm a 28 year BHI employee who has never been forced or coerced into working one day for the company. Every two weeks, the company and I meet at the bank and settle our account. And for that two week period, i leave that get together knowing I owe them no more and they owe me no more than that cordial, twice monthly chit-chat. And annually the company and I share a longer cup of coffee and have a little more involved conversation about how I want it to spend another 30% of my salary, at no cost to me, on my retirement and wellbeing. I guess at the end of the day, I'm very content knowing the company and I are squared away. I know that things may change, and one day I may walk into their office and say it's time to part ways. Or perhaps it's they who initiate that conversation. And as we meet at the bank that one last time, I'll hold my head high knowing I've given 100% and the company will do the same knowing we are square with me. If you you don't like your twice monthly or annual conversations with the company, sounds like you need to take responsibility for your future and start looking for someone else who will meet you every two weeks for a quick settling-up that's more to your liking!
70232 in response to your thick headed ignorance. Baker is a great company. But they gave nothing to know one. Everything I have I worked for it. I am not slamming no one. You need to grow up. I have stood by them for 30 years in good times and bad times. It's just unfortunate that this is all happening for the wrong reasons. It's called poor management from the top and trickles down. Then once it gets all the way down. Bottom feeders like yourself feed on that and think your getting ahead when are you really are doing being two faced. So good luck and get a life.
I had a manager monitor the Instant Messenger. She slipped in a meeting and let out some personal info that only two people knew about and when she was confronted she let us know she reads our emails. Whatever you do not give your passwords when you leave. Same manager is still using my email like I am still an employee.
People are funny. When times are good then BH is great. You drive damn good vehicles, have nice homes, travel, whatever. But every single year spring break up comes, or if the company sells, or the oilfield has a downturn, then they are a crappy company. You expect a company to stand by you, try standing by them.
No, I don't like the fact that my layoff will probably come this week. Am I slamming the company? No. I see it coming, dumped my debt, glad I had the time I did here.
Grow up, move on and stop blaming everyone for your problems
So a private company will magically force another company for info without a court order?
Put down the hash pipe. Baker is too damn cheap to pay for that.
What you post of facebook has more consequences than here. Plus it opens to more lawsuit if employers use posts on internet forum as a basis to fire people.
You obviously have never worked for BHI if you need the chronicles of disasters and ineptitude that is the BHI IT department
Can you give us one example of a system barely working?
Half of our systems barely work, the IT would be better off to spend work effort on that than spying on workers
I never use company computer for personal stuff. I have my personal phone w/me all the time. This site works just fine on my iPhone...
Managers / supervisors sometimes choose to monitor the internet activity of their employees. I'd recommend to be as little as possible surfing the internet on your company laptop / desktop when not business related. AMO has done that a few years back to identify "candidates".
I wouldn't use a work computer, but it's good to be cautious. Let's put it this way...they couldn't figure out how to stay profitable enough to avoid being bought out by their competition. I wouldn't lose sleep over tracking ip's.
I'd only be concerned if using company computers
We are not trying to give you a hard time. You just shouldn't post things that make people feel like they can't state how they feel or reach out to others in the same situation. It helps to know where the layoffs are and what departments are being let go. This way you can prepare better if there is such a thing.
Come on guys. We are in same boat. Don't give me a hard time.
Who cares!!! I promise this is not what Baker Hughes is using to lay people off!!! I haven't seen one thing on here so far that would warrant a layoff anyway. Just people stating their opinions and asking for insight from others . Track that 😃
For sure, the IP address can be traced (if needed). But, who care? I already got laid off. Sue me for freedom of speech???
