----- WFT is looking for a new VP
I can think of some guys "from within" that I don't want to work for. They tend to be motivated to "move up" but less than competent. I am tired of the buddy system. Get a job based on ability and competence.
I have seen this before. The job description was written based on the person from Halliburton or Schulumberger they have already chosen and /or already hired. This is classic WFT. Layoff the workers and bring in a new VP. A new VP = laying off 20 to 25 hard working people. Pretty soon this company will be nothing but a bunch of VPs, Directors, Presidents, Global Managers, and Global Product Line Mangers sitting around a huge table wondering why the company is not making any money. I wonder if they will lay off the staff that brings their fatas*** bagels and cream cheese in the mornings?
Who did they get rid of Paul Wilson? Like normal they will ignore all the people working in Benbrook for Wireline and bring in somebody from an outside company.
They will most likely hire someone who has worked on barb wire fences. These people are very familiar with wire lines.
To the potential applicant:
I strongly recommend to watch a movie called "The Company Men" before applying for this position :)
BTW, Weatherford sucks!
so can i use this as one of the 3 weekly job submissions for unemployment?? LOL!
Figures lol. Maybe we all should apply. Don't have to know anything. We would be over qualified.
I guess promoting within and retaining the talent makes way too much sense.
