Can anyone tell me how so many layoffs all at once take place, as far as notification? Is a mass e-mail that is sent out? Assuming that at times it will be many hundreds all in the same day, I am just wondering how they go about it.

Has anyone heard anything yet today?
Are MP managers affected?
In some areas 15's are the bottom rung (no DRs)
They could cut ALL level 15/16 Managers and I really don't think anyone would notice - well at least not until they fail to show up for meaningless "status" meetings to ask us "how are things going?". Seriously, we've got Managers reporting to Managers - all of them making six figures and their main job is to "manage" the people who do actual work. It's a joke. I'm sure some of them are good or great people with something to offer but why should they work hard when they can pull that kind of money by doing very little? All they do in my area is take credit for the work done by their subordinates.
If I was doing it, I would have a big meeting of entire store/building/floor. Basically a huge group. Then have dozens of HR people in groups of 2 calling in affected employees from 1-5pm to lay them off. I would use the mornings to call aside the groups they are keeping and re-assure them of their ongoing employment and value.
I hate to say it but it needs to be done. We are waaaaay too manger heavy and I'm not sure what most of them do.
First I've heard of that as well. Anyone else corroborate?
This is the first I am hearing of this. Is it all pyramids? Is it really 50%?
Anonymous 74173, what pay grade is considered manager?
Tomorrow afternoon (03/06/15) by end of day there will be a massive 50% reduction of all managers at HQ.
