I left target 3.5 years ago as a buyer...I see that they now have associate buyers. When did this role start? What do they do? Is it between a BA and MP manager role?

It is a new position as of Fall 2014. Some of the positions were filled but then the freeze stopped the rest. They report into the buyer. It's a training role for 11s to learn the merchant role.
They are the Buyers bitch.
Probably the same time merch was allowed to hire 'ahead of need' while the rest of Target had open positions that needed to be filled
