Thread regarding Zenith Education Group layoffs

What is going on with the Florida campuses, EUO, and Socle?

Hi All - I was laid off just before the ECMC buyout. Just checking back to see how things are going. There aren't a lot of people here, which I think is a good thing (not worried about layoffs, right?), but there seem to be a lot of disturbing posts. Have there really been significant RIFs since Zenith took over? How is Socle Tampa? My worst nightmare is them laying off the actual workers and keeping the likes of KD in the company.

838, I have to sign all legal rights away to get 2 weeks pay for severance. I am receiving the 60 days pay plus health insurance in lieu of notice. Also collecting unemployment, so it's kinda nice getting paid to stay home. The biggest problem comes on July 1st when the health insurance stops for myself and family. Also for the person who doubted how big the RIF was, it was closer to 1500 people.

Anonymous105124 -- 13 years? What did you get for severance (not that it's really much of a comfort)?

Ex-Socle -- I'm keeping an eye on their LinkedIn accounts as well. They've been trying to distance themselves from the mess they caused ever since Socle started (the two you named both changed their entire work history with CCI to "Socle" as soon as bad news starting hitting). They are idiots and they caused a lot of damage. If they lie and get new supervisory positions, their new companies need to know to keep a close, close eye on them.

correction - I don't believe 1,000 were laid off (or that instructors are running business offices - that's impossible).

048 - This is the OP. I am being serious and I don't think I believe your post. I just looked up my colleagues from Socle on LinkedIn, and they are all still listed as working for Socle or Zenith. So it looks like nothing has really changed much since Zenith took over, except probably the name Socle isn't used any more. I noticed some really funny resumes, though. Some of the managers (MH, TP, etc - that little group) have ridiculous work histories. I think MH says that he has been with Zenith Education for 20 years, and the others are similar. Just outright lies! If I see any of them with new positions, I think I'll email the HR department where they work to check out their resumes. They might be trying to disassociate themselves from CCi, when they were the ones who caused all of the unethical behavior. Typical! Anyway, I don't believe your post about 100 laid off and no more Socle.

We continue to be CCI. Same crooks for RVPO's and same nasty CSC people. Is a matter of time before this thing closes down.

I was one left go after 13 years. Talking to a few of the people who are still working and they say most are keeping their eyes open for new jobs. No one feels secure and know they could be among the next RIF. Most departments on campuses are being staffed by instructors because they left everyone else go. Instructors staffing the library, student services, business office and doing some of janitorial services. It's very sad and going to get worse before it gets better.

Yep. Dying - nothing, but recycled ideas.

If you are being serious and not know what is going on, here's the scoop. About 1000 people were layed off on 4.29. Socle is gone, everyone was layed off - agents, supervisors, and management. Troy quit. What you read here is pretty much the truth. Not a lot of people here because they are all looking for jobs. Zenith is dying a rapidly accelerating death.
