So those of you that work at houma mfg are fearing another layoff is imminent...you should. You have already been through 2 rounds of layoffs (about 150), hours pretty much restricted to 40 and difficulty buying any and everything needed for daily operations....still outsourcing continues. Thats right outsourcing work to local machine shops, at a premium $$$, and overtime authorized for them. Why? Theyll get the needed work done and wont pay the suppliers for 6 months or probably longer. Thats the leaderships way of conducting business. They will screw over their employees and local suppliers with no conscience. Good luck!

Is it possible that top of the line machinist, etc. are no longer with WFT in Houma, La. which is causing them to outsource work that former employees could still be doing? By the way you are absolutely correct about vendors having to wait 6 months to get paid. The situation will get worse, once the vendors put WFT on a cash only basis, as so many other vendors have done. Good bye cash flow. Wait, I'm mistaken, they are out of cash!
