I don't understand this. Have they laid off immensely in the Woodlands? Why would they be one of the 'at risk' product lines, when there was an announcement saying that Halliburton would be selling their bits/drilling services product lines and Baker Hughes would be selling their pressure pumping? I understand being nervous if you are a 'Sperry or BJ services' employee, and I feel awful for those guys, but I highly doubt that they would close their main 'bit' plant. Hughes is best known for their bits, Halliburton for their cementing services. The announced potential 'divestitures' make sense, this does not (unless I have missed something?). In the grand scheme of things, these 'assumptions' make minimal sense and cause unnecessary discomfort and uncertainty for employees of either company. I understand that the oil patch is at a bad point right now, but this is not a first for the industry and when looking at it objectively, these assumptions do not make much sense. For the trolls who are just trying to upset and stress people out, there is a special place in hell for you, I think that place is called Weatherford.
It's not closed yet. They laid a lot of people off a couple of months ago but some is still there.
I thought Woodland was closed?
Not for much longer.
3 days left guys.
LOL
