Thread regarding Follett layoffs

Tom Christoper please come back and bring your old team with you.

These new leaders couldn't management a bake sale. What a great time to be a sales rep with B&N by selling against a company where the sales leader doesn't want the home office leaders at a presentation. Just look at the close percentage the past 5 years and it looks like a cliff dive.

Great point. When it comes to recognition, work-life balance, and general associate happiness, this company scores zero.m keep driving out the people who dedicated so much time to Follett. Face it, we are all replaceable and truth is, NO ON CARES about you any more.

It's not about increasing sales or increasing efficiencies. Anywhere I go, that's the job expectation. The problem is the lip service paid to values and employee engagement. I work hard and don't mind. What is frustrating is the way people are treated now. Tom's team cared about the Follett associates; he was a true gentleman who took the time to interact with the team. The new management treats people like replaceable drones. DG makes zero effort to talk to people unless they are directors and above. He has his pets, and we all know who they are. The rest of the team is the same- they all talk a good game about values and teamwork and other HR PR, but nothing is really carried through. Talking about something gets you nowhere. I don't see any real action when it comes to employee morale. Face it, we are all replaceable and truth is, NO ON CARES about you any more. TC and AS and SP are GONE. The new regime is crap.
